The Fiji 7s team is likely to face Australia or Wales in the quarterfinal of the South Africa 7s tournament this weekend.

The Digicel sponsored side which lost to Samoa in the semifinal of the Dubai 7s last weekend will need to beat their arch rivals this time around in pool play to line-up an easier opponent from Pool A.

Australia looks top bet in Pool A while world champions Wales after putting up a gallant show in Dubai look promising and unpredictable.

Apart from Samoa, the Iliesa Tanivula coached side will also need to be wary of USA during its pool matches as the Americans are capable of creating upsets.

Fiji featured in the final last year in South Africa and lost to New Zealand but the new-look Fijian outfit is entering the tournament with more optimism and promise this season.
