Troubled coach, Farouk Janeman has denied rumors of his sacking following Ba’s dismal performance during the 2010 Inter District Championship (IDC) pool games.

Of its four pool games, Ba only managed a win. The Men in Black lost their opening match to Rewa 1-0, drew with 0-0 Suva, won 2-0 over Nasinu before conceding a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Lautoka.

“I am still the coach for Ba,” Janeman said.

He denied he was told to leave the bench following the 0-all draw against Suva.

“No, that’s not true,” Janeman said. “Someone must have been playing a joke and decided to tell everyone. No, I am still the coach for Ba.”

When asked why he wasn’t on the bench when Ba played Lautoka in their final match, Janeman replied: “Everyone knows that I wasn’t feeling well. That’s why I wasn’t with the team during the match.”

Ba soccer president Rishi Kumar when contacted for a comment said he will be making a statement on the issue tomorrow.
